Rocket Pump Instructions

The Rocket Pump from Antigravity is a very durable hand-powered bicycle air pump. Although it may seem obvious how to setup and use a pump like this, there are a few things to keep in mind to maximize its usefulness.

Attaching the Handle

Sometimes the pump is shipped with the handle detached from the pump. To attach the handle to your Rocket Pump, first make sure you've got the pump and the handle.   →

Then peel the tape off the end of the pump to reveal the spring.   ↓   

Remove and save the coil spring.   →

Then Pull the rod out of the pump about 6 inches (15 cm).   ↓

Put the spring back onto the rod.   →

Then twist the threaded handle onto the threaded rod as far as it can go.  It should spin onto the rod about 10 complete turns. When you have threaded it on, none of the thread on the rod should be showing.   ↓

Use pliers to tighten the handle onto the rod.  The pliers should grip the rod as close as possible to the handle to avoid scratching the active part of the rod.  Then twist the handle tighter while gripping the rod with the pliers.   →
